Success Story: Bill Hamlin
Bill_HamlinMy name is Bill Hamlin. I have been very overweight for more than 40 years. Like most people overweight I would lose 30 lbs and turn around and gain back what I lost and 10 more. I had been diagnosed with Type II diabetes and my A1C (blood glucose level) was getting higher and higher. My cholesterol was also going up and my blood pressure was high. A friend told me I should consider bariatric surgery.
The surgery has risks, was not always successful and when was all said and done you still had to diet. So I decided I’d just try the diet and if that failed I’d reconsider the surgery. That decision became my motivation to listen the Chris’s advice on eating leaner and eating less. That was the basis for the diet I started in March of last year. Since then I’ve lost 130 lbs and more than 18 inches in my waist.
It hasn’t been easy, but this time I’ve stayed with it longer and my friends at the gym and elsewhere encourage me and hope with me that I’ll continue to lose until I reach my goal. After losing 85 pounds my A1C became normal, my cholesterol is low and my blood pressure is good.
Thank you Chris and Leslye, all the other trainers at Personally Fit and the friends that continue to encourage me.
